Ballet without Borders is currently working on setting up a school holiday program. This will run for 2 weeks for children between 6-12.
*More information the workshops places, dates, times and how to enrol will soon be available on our website.
The below is a general guide to what will be covered over the week.
Ballet Education Ballet Basics-Barre & Centre
The ballet basics will be covered in each class with the aim of development from day to day. Students will learn basic ballet steps and movement in a fun and safe environment with professional ballet teachers.
A general explanation of nutrition will be provided to make students aware of quality food and energy levels.
Students will learn about basic body anatomy which is an important part of any dance form and will help with understanding of movement.
Students will stretch at the beginning, middle and end of the class to ensure that their muscles are warm and will be taught proper stretching techniques for the future.
Each class will take 15 minutes in the day to focus on calming the mind and using correct breath. This skill set can be used by students to provide support in every day activities.
Our vision is to ensure that students who participate in our program have the opportunity to participate in ballet education long after they have taken their first class with us.
We are working towards creating pathways for students of Ballet without Borders to be able to dance at their local ballet class and have options through hard work and talent to be offered subsidized places at top ballet schools.
